Itinerary

Route of the Artisans. Gualaceo-Chordeleg-San Bartolome
- Start time 8:00 AM
- The guide will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time, after 45 min. On the road, make the first stop in San Bartolome to visit the town, learn about its vernacular architecture and then have a demonstration of guitar making in one of the workshops of the place
- Later we will continue to Chordeleg, azuayo canton known as the cradle of jewelry, here the first visit will be to the miniature ceramic workshop to see these skilled artisans making tiny figures with representations of popular festivals, popular characters from Ecuador among other things.
- Continuing with the itinerary, we will visit one of the Chordeleg jewelers for a demonstration of the Filigree technique, very well known in this place, and then the tourists will have 30 min. free to visit the different jewelers and handicraft shops.
- Lunch at selected restaurant.
- Then they will have a tour of the central market of Gualaceo to learn about the famous "Chancho Hornado" and other Azuayas delicacies such as: Tortillas, empanadas, morocho, chocolate, etc.
- Then they will visit the "Museum of the Makana", here they will have a demonstration of the elaboration of the famous Shawls of the Cuenca cholas.
- Time for shopping in all places.
- Return to Cuenca.
