9 Days 8 Nights Quito, Ambato and Baños
With our adventure between moors and jungles, you will have the opportunity to learn how communities live in the highlands and jungles of Ecuador, without neglecting the glamor of 3 places to visit throughout the tour.
Starting point
- From Quito.
- It is coordinated with the tourists once the reservation is confirmed. On the day of the tour you will find one of our guides at the meeting point with a crimson t-shirt and a sign with our company logo.

Itinerary
Día 1
Quito
- Your guide will pick you up at 5:00 p.m. from the airport or the terminal where you arrive in the city of Quito (the meeting point is coordinated once the reservation is confirmed), to take you to the Hotel Dann Carlton, where we we will stay our first night.
- Once at the hotel we will check-in, we will receive the instructions for our trip and the activities of the next day, and we will have free time to rest.
Día 2
Quito - Ambato - Salinas de Guaranda
- Once we have checked out of the hotel, we will depart for the Land of Flowers and Fruits, Ambato, where we will have a city tour and discover the magic that is hidden in the land of the three Juanes.
- Once our tour of the streets of Ambato is over, we will have a restorative lunch to be able to continue our trip to Salinas de Guaranda.
- In Salinas de Guaranda we will arrive at our hotel where we will check-in and continue with a tour of the community factories, there we will be able to find sausage, dairy and even chocolate production.
Día 3
Salinas de Guaranda - Quero
- After a night of rest in one of the moors of the Ecuadorian highlands, we will go to the cold lands of the Quero canton, in the province of Tungurahua.
- There we will visit and stay in one of the oldest haciendas in the province, where we will have experiential activities, as well as walks through incredible paramo ecosystems, and if we are lucky we will be able to spot mammals such as wolves and paramo rabbits.
- In the afternoon we will have a short tour of the cantonal capital of Quero and then we will visit La Quereñta Brewery, where we will have the opportunity to try an exquisite potato-based craft beer.
Día 4
Quero - Holy Water Baths
- On the morning of our fourth day, and once we have had a good breakfast, we will begin our journey towards Baños de Agua Santa.
- Once in Baños we will visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Holy Water, where we will learn more about its history, then we will advance to the famous Tree House to have an adventure shot on the sky swing.
- In the afternoon we will have our lunch and visit the imposing Pailón del Diablo waterfall.
- After this visit we will go to our Luna Volcán hotel where we will have time to enjoy its facilities, savor a delicious dinner and have a peaceful night's sleep.
Día 5
Holy Water Baths - Mera - Ahuano
- On our fifth day we will begin our trip to the Ecuadorian Amazon, having Mera as the first stop, where we will visit a unique photographic spot, which will allow us to appreciate the Pastaza River in the best way.
- Then we will advance to the province of Napo, to Puerto Barantilla, where a canoe will be waiting for us with which we will enter the jungle where we will have days of adventure and contact with nature.
Día 6
Ahuano
- On this day we will dedicate it to contact with nature, for which we will use it to carry out activities such as walks through the jungle, animal observation and why water activities in the Arajuno River.
Día 7
Ahuano - The Chaco - Papallacta
- Once we have checked out of our lodge, we will start the trip to El Chaco, where another activity full of adrenaline will be waiting for us.
- We will go rafting on the Quijos River, where we will be able to observe the Ecuadorian jungle in a unique way and full of adventure.
- After our morning activity we will go to Papallacta, to enjoy its hot springs, which will relax us after a long trip.
Día 8
Papallacta - Quito
- Our penultimate day will be devoted to learning about La Carita de Dios, our beautiful city of Quito. After checking out, we will travel back to the Ecuadorian capital.
- Once there we will have a city tour full of history and culture, where we will visit buildings that are more than four centuries old and we will have the opportunity to taste one of the best chocolates in the country. We will close our tour with an incredible dinner at Café Mosaico, where we will be able to appreciate the magical sunsets of Quito.
Día 9
Quito
- We will have our breakfast and we will check out of the hotel.
- This day will be free so that we can explore Quito on our own.
- The schedules are coordinated to meet us for the last time, to be able to take you to the airport or terminal, so that you can continue with your trip through Ecuador or back home.
