Enjoy the Ecuadorian Amazon
Enjoy the Ecuadorian Amazon
In the morning after our breakfast, we go canoeing upstream. After about 10 minutes of travel we reach one of the banks of the Napo, where we descend to start an entertaining walk of about 1 hour, observing the flora and fauna of the secondary forest. When we reach the end of our route we find a beautiful waterfall. Here we can enjoy a refreshing swim in its waters and relax enjoying the beauty of the environment, which mixes the sounds of the jungle, with the force of falling water, making the place a spectacular site.
We return to the lodge in a fun activity called Tubing by the Napo River and for those who do not wish they can do it in the canoe, to serve a delicious lunch. In the afternoon we prepare to visit one of the indigenous communities that are on the banks of the Napo River. Here we will visit a Quichua family, the same one that will show us their ancient ancestral customs about how they wash gold on the banks of the river, the elaboration of their traditional ceramics, the preparation of their typical Yuca chicha and the use of their hunting techniques with the blowpipe. After this interesting insight into the Quichua culture, we return to the lodge enjoying a short tour of the secondary forest. In the evening after dinner, we have the meeting of all in the campfire area to prepare traditional handmade chocolate to taste it with fruits.
