A 45-minute walk across volcanic rocks leads to Barranco beach, where indigenous iguana species reside, offering breathtaking ocean views shaped by the waves.
Your adventure begins with a hotel breakfast in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno before heading to "León Dormido" or Kicker Rock. The rock's name origins are mysterious, but erosion sculpted its unique form, resembling a sea lion. A one-hour journey showcases diverse landscapes. Don't miss the chance to swim and snorkel with sharks, including Galapagos, white-tipped, and black-tipped reef sharks, at Kicker Rock. Keep an eye out for fascinating creatures and bird species like frigate birds, blue-footed boobies, and lava gulls along the way.
Embark on a journey to Primicias Ranch, a natural gem atop Santa Cruz Island, accessible by a short flight from the mainland. Explore this lush tropical rainforest with diverse landscapes, home to awe-inspiring migrating turtles. Witness these majestic creatures on their remarkable journey as they seek shelter, water, and nesting sites, adding to the unique allure of this destination.
Begin your day in Puerto Ayora with a scenic stroll to Tortuga Bay, an idyllic destination known for its pristine coral beaches. Enjoy kayaking, explore diverse ecosystems, and spot marine life and unique bird species. Later, visit the Charles Darwin Foundation and return to your Puerto Ayora hotel for a relaxing evening.
