Starting point
- Upon arrival at Sucre International Airport in Quito, a representative will assist you with checking your bags and tickets.
- The representative will also be in charge of giving you boarding instructions and a brief explanation of what awaits you upon arrival.
- Days of operation: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Itinerary
Día 1
Arrival at the Lodge
- After a short flight of 35 minutes to Coca, a representative will welcome you to Coca and transfer you along with the other guests to the pier, there will be waiting for our motorized canoe. Your bags will go in a separate canoe with a manager and you will be taken directly to the lodge, which is located two hours from Coca by motorized canoe. In addition, the canoe is covered, in case of rain or strong sun. During the trip you can appreciate the nature and, if you are lucky, you will see pink river dolphins.
- Passengers will receive a snack during the journey. On disembarking, they will make a short walk to take another small canoe with their hand luggage. Arriving, you will be welcomed with a cocktail and you will be given a short orientation talk about the lodge and its facilities. Then you will be shown your room and have the opportunity to explore a little before dinner.
- During dinner, your group and the guide will arrange the activities for the next day. After dinner, depending on the weather and the desire of the group, there could be short activities, such as a night walk or a canoe tour around the lodge to admire the wildlife. Many guests prefer to relax in the lounge accompanied by a cold drink or instead take a relaxing massage at the spa!
Día 2
Various activities
- 6:30 am - Breakfast: Breakfast is served very early as there is so much to see and do! There are various activities that you could do.
- 7:00 am - Observation Tower/Sendero Tucaneta or Mandi Forest: After a walk of approximately 20 minutes you will find the Observation Tower. This renovated 45-meter-high construction will give you the opportunity to appreciate a variety of bird species and even some primates that rest on the heights. On the way back you can choose to go on a walk along the Tucaneta Trail, which contains many medicinal plants, which can be pointed out by your naturalist guide and at the same time learn about the ecology of the Amazon.
- As another alternative in the activities of the day is the one-hour walk to the Mandi Cocha lagoon. On the way to this lagoon you will be able to observe an igapo forest, which means that the forest is temporarily submerged in black water, giving rise to see different species of birds as well as giant otters.
- 1:00 p.m. – Lunch
- 4:30 pm – Charapa Trail: This trail leaves from the Lodge and ends at the end of the lagoon. This consists of a walk of approximately 1 hour. During this time it is a good opportunity to see different types of primates and even see them up close, since during those hours many of them approach the lagoon in search of food.
- 6:40 pm – Night activities in Canoe or Kayak: With the help of flashlights your guide will take you around the lagoon looking for nocturnal animals. Enjoying the sunset is a unique experience and at nightfall the stars shine brightly making this activity very relaxing.
- 7:30 - Dinner

Activities
- 6:30 a.m. - Breakfast
- 7:00 am – Parrot Lick and Mandi Wasi: For this activity it is necessary to return to the private dock on the Napo River where you will embark on a motorized canoe headed towards the parrot lick. It is very important to bring binoculars for this activity. Then they will visit the Kichwa community, where they can be part of a native tradition and learn a little more about this culture. At the end of these activities you will be taken back to the lodge.
- 1:00 p.m. – Lunch
- 4:00 pm – Lake Garzacocha and Sendero Ceiba: Considered one of the most beautiful lagoons in the Ecuadorian Amazon, this is another good opportunity to be in contact with nature and closely appreciate a variety of primate and bird species, including one of the smallest primates in the world, the pygmy marmoset, since they feed near this lake.
- 6:30 – Night Walk: Apart from the night activity in the lake, there is also the option of a night activity that consists of a short walk inside the Amazon, always accompanied by a guide. One of the advantages of this walk is to be able to see other types of wildlife since there are animals and insects that are nocturnal and can be easily found with the help of your guide. Different types of tarantulas are one of them.
- 7:30 – Dinner

Return to Quito
- After a delicious breakfast we will return to the city of Coca to take your flight back to the city of Quito.
- All our logistics are carefully planned so that you can enjoy your last day with us before taking your flight to the city of Quito, ending your adventure.
