Día 1 |
Día 1 Fuya Fuya (4.275 m/ 14.025 ft)We depart from Quito to the lagoon of Mojanda, where we begin our trek to the summit of the Fuya Fuya volcano. Once at the top, we'll eat a snack surrounded by a beautiful view. We'll return to our private transport to return to our comfortable hotel in Ibarra. (Lunch, Dinner) |
Día 2 |
Día 2 Imbabura (4.650 m/ 15.255 ft)We should reach the summit of the Imbabura volcano after 4 hours of hiking. The return will last about three hours. A private vehicle will be expecting us for our return to our comfortable hotel in Ibarra. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) |
Día 3 |
Día 3 Cayambe Refuge (4.600 m/ 15.091 ft)Early morning departure to the city of Cayambe at approximately 65 km from Quito. We will arrive to the Refuge Ruales Oleas Berge. Have a free afternoon to see glaciers and prepare our equipment before ascending. At night, we will enjoy a hot dinner, conversation with the guides about the ascending to the volcano. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) |
Día 4 |
Día 4 Cayambe Summit (5.790 m / 18.996 ft)Near midnight, we will begin ascending to the top! Approximate time of trekking: 6 to 8 hours, depending on the rhythm of the group and weather conditions of the mountain. Upon sorting the incredible glaciers and seracs, we will arrive to the top, and if weather conditions are good, we will be able to take pictures of the Volcano Avenue! We will return to the Refuge, which will take between 4 to 6 hours. Rest for a while and get ready to return to Quito. (Breakfast, Box Lunch, Lunch) |
