Lovers of ancestral culture and nature will have a unique experiential experience in the Salasaka People.
The program allows our cultural adventurers to live closely the ritual of ancestral medicine, learn about the indigenous worldview through participation in eco-agriculture, learn the role of gender and indigenous identity during the making of traditional dress, enjoy the ancestral celebration of the Inti Raymi and to discover the exquisite local cuisine of the Salasakas.

- in Ambato.
- In the Central Plaza of Salasaka, they immediately go to the community of Huasalata where an indigenous family will welcome them in their humble home.

Itinerary
Día 1
Salasaka Celebration & Ancestral Medicine Full Day
- Encuentro.- Salasaca Central Square.
- Welcome.- Tasting the corn tortilla with aromatic water and introducing the activities to be carried out in the home of a host family.
- Ecoagriculture.- Experiential learning of the solar and lunar cycle, apart from the customs and traditions of the indigenous people in the sowing and harvesting system.
- Traditional / alternative and ritual medicine.- Spiritual purification through millenary ritual in the waka (sacred place). The yachak (connoisseur of ancestral medicine) with the use of native plants and flowers cleans in order to fill the visitor with energy .
- Local Almuerzo.- Gastronomy at the option of the chef and prior arrangement with visitors or travel agency.
- Process of elaboration of poncho and traditional clothing of the Salasakas.- Exhibition of weaving and treading poncho, sheep shearing process, role of women in spinning, the role of man in weaving and treading of poncho.
- Ancestral celebration Inti Raymi / Pawkar Raymi.- Visitors will witness and be part of the presentation of one of the ancestral celebrations of the Salasaka people. They will dance dressed in the ancient clothing to the sound of the hype and the bells while they taste the nickname and chicha of the Salasaka people.
- End of activities.- Farewell and delivery of symbolic memories elaborated by artisans of the community.
